Ive got a 2nd gen magna thats on lpg.
And the gauge for how much fuel there is one of those electronic one, with the green bars.

The problem is, it either shows its completly empty, or completly full, and sometimes it might show half full. In other words it just reads wrong all the time. I could be empty and it shows full.

When i open up the boot and take the plate off the back of the tank theres a gauge with a needle that reads right.

Does anyone know why the electronic gauge is reading wrong and how i can fix it? because its starting to get annoying always opening up the boot and unscrewing the plate to check how much gas ive got left.

In my old car my gauge stuffed up u just get used to it. and go by ur trip. In the end I had no gas/petrol gauge and no trip. That was fun...

Anyway the tank reads correctly.

I'd say one of the connections have come loose. Either at the tank or at the meter.

It just reads off little sensors there. Follow the wire through to the tank and see if it is making good contact at all points.

Be careful... (Dont grab a drill to fix it :p)

Peace
