hey guys i have a tj , how much did it cost for you guys to get your cars tinted and at what %

i dont even know whats legal % of tint you can have. im gona do some research tomorrow but i would have more bargaining power if i know whats just a stupid price.

300 isnt that pricey for a sedan? i thought a wagon would be that much!
i might go see ultratint next week then. oh i think they tell you the tint grades and whats legal and whats not etc

The legal limit in vic is 35%.

Auto Perfection does a good job. They are on Mullers Road, Paradise I
think. Near NE Road. Mine cost me $280 four years ago. Its a metallic
film with 35% VLT. The rear is a one piece film as well.

most of the states are 35% and WA is 30% i think for legal tint. Don't pay any more than about 250-300. i got mine done by blakes mate, in perth for 200 bucks. He came to my house, put it on and left, u can't wind ur windows for 2 or 3 days, but its worth it. oh and i got 18% and its puuurrrfect.

yeh looks like my dads mate might have a relation in the biz hopefully he can do a nice job main concern is that its a quality film/job you dont want anything happening like it peeling.

Also check the type of film you get, some film can look dark but dont block out much heat or uv.

I got a metalized one 20%... maybe should have done 15%..
but 20% is a point were you are less likely to get hassled.. 15% you gunna get caught and questioned.

looks like we are gettin a 35% tint of the highest quality film they can get. so the final tint should be like 38% because the guy said we have a factory tint of around 3% already

its a reputable franchise and ive checked out the workshop as well as a car they had just finished [looked swoit]

and with mates rates will only be 250 instead of the usual 330

you mean 32% .... the extra gets taken off...
as 0 is black and 100 is clear.

yeh i dont know much about tinting the guy said it would be 35 +3% so i just assumed that way

I think the percentage refers to the amount of light let throughthe tint,
e.g: 35%tint = 35% light transfer.... :?:

I've got darkest legal all round on mine (whatever % that is in melbourne. if anyone knows, can they tell me please? cheers:D) and 5% darker than legal on the back window, looks sick

cost me 210 coz it was on special:D metalized film, place was good, took ya door trims off and all o the whole window is done
