i have an older pioneer head unit which only has single rca outputs. how does the output from these run in terms of front or rear channels? if i hook the rca up will the speaker outputs still work too? check out my diagram for what im going to run and give me some feedback/ideas. if you cant work it out i have the front left and right speaker wires running to a two channel amp out to crossovers with splits. then i have the rca outputs running into split cables into a four channel amp with two channels bridged to the amp and then with the other two channels running into a 3 way crossover running full range splits in the rear.(remember i have no rear parcel shelf to stick boring old 6x9's into) i hope this isnt to confusing.

If it's like most head units with only a single pair of RCA's, then the RCA output is the rear channel only.

Correct MAGNA LE.
If you have only one Pre Out, its a rear or sub pre out.
You can have more than one amp but you won't be able to control fade or subs.
Unless you get a hu with 3 pre outs.
might want to check up on your Headunit.
I know that on the older Pioneers you could use the RCA for a sub out, that way you could run all 4 of your speakers fron and back off the headunit and your sub off the RCA.. Theres an actuall setting you change on the headunit to set it to P/O - Sub
(This is how my old pioneer worked)
