I am pretty keen to know aswell, especially from those guys with big subs that didn't chuck their spare.
I am gettin 2 12" Wild Beast Cadence subs which require about 40litres each. I want a cool setup but need my spare because i do a fair bit of country driving.

Cheers,
Cam

P.S Is there anyone else here located in S.A, i am looking for a good place to get some mods done?

Excellent. I was wonderin a good place to get RPW type stuff done? Apparently "Philcom Rally" is an RPW stockist, but i sent them an e-mail and got no response? I've also been told that a "Windscreens O'Brien" on Hutt st apparently does some pretty crazy stuff (engine swaps etc).
I just have a lot of questions about mods for my money and how much i can expect to pay for certain things etc, and i want to talk to the type of person who would actually be perfoming the installation, rather than just opinions of significant others.

Also, where do you do your audio gear/car security buying? I am attacking Complete Audio on Goodwood road, they seem fairly keen to offer a deal, but the only other places i have really checked is tonkins and autobarn.

Anyway, i think thats plenty enough typin.

Cheers,
Cam.

Awesome install. I don't suppose you'd be so kind as to provide the measurements for the spare wheel cover? :D
Looks real good.

i had a couple of jl W0's, 12's... they were good quality and tight, but only 125rms, so they dun get too loud.

But then one stopped working, and jl didn't even wanna know about it (still about a month warranty left on it).. then my speakers did the same and jl did the same again... so i will stay away from them in the future, which is a shame, cause when u look at W3's -W7's, the subs get really good.

W7 subs are insane!

I'm happy with Alpines, they play hard all day :) Both cars have Alpine gear, Magna has only alpine gear except the wires.

mmmm... W7.. and you can't complain about alpine, alpine is good good good.

What have you got? One of my room mates is looking at buying an R-Type 12. $279 plus an amp. You like it?

I like Type R, it's not the loudest woofer but it has a good comprimise of SQ and SPL.

They can take a lot more that the rated 300w RMS. I've put though about 1000w RMS in to one and it was thumping.

I'm putting 900w RMS into 2 x 12" Type R's at the moment.

yea, i heard that they can take a bit, they reckon over running them to the crapper is awesome. But thats true with most subs. I know a guy that has one pioneer 12 VCCS and is over running them by 300rms and it absoloutely cranks. I have never had respect for pioneer when it comes to subs until now.

love it, but they won't be able to keep up with my Cadence Wild Beast's :D 700rms each.. yum yum

*** begin hijack topic ***

what the hell?! SiNERGY is your VR-X a series I or a series II? looking at the pic of your instrument cluster says you're a series I because of the analogue trip and odo... looking at the pic of your head unit says you're a series II because of the climate control... what gives? what month and year was your car built man?

Mines officially a series 1 but it's kind of a Series 1.5

The original VRX had 16" wheels, different stereo, no climate control and a few other changes.

Mine has the 17" wheels, climate control, newer stereo, black handles, black brakes, but didn't come with the digital dash :(

The only difference I can see with mine and series two is the dash.
