i finished it after weeks of waiting for a nice sunny weekend , ive completed it and im very happy with it, ive also wired in my neons to a red pushbutton near my steering wheel, ive also installed a red neon as my boot light, im a happy chappy.

yeah the centre air vent was like that when i got it i didnt realise because it wasnt as noticable when it was brown metalic poo grey colour that they come standerd it wont clip in but im working on it.

yes i do need a new stereo but its not high on my list of things to do, and it just silver automotive spray paint, if ur thinking of doing it do a seach for how to do it on the forums its written up heaps of places,

How many coats u give it?

about 5 each of primer, paint, clearcoat
leaving about 30-1h between coats, it was a nice sunny couple of days.

Cool I may do this one day...

Might wait till summer though.

looks good man, luckily for me TL's came with the silver painted centre consol from the factory so i dont have to do it myself but yeah gotta work hard on avoiding scratches getting on em! I got a bit of fiddling to do tho before my interior starts gettin the way i want... in particular i want a double din eclipse headunit, one of those ones that doubles as a 6.5 inch screen.. that'll look hot in a magna with a silver centre consol i reckon

Have you broken the tabs or just lost the little metal clips...?? :D

If you have both of them you should be right.. :D

nope im pretty sure the tabs are broken off and currently sitting down under god knows what right down the bottom somewhere

well if plastic tabs gone ur stuffed.. If metal clips are missing that slip over the tabs u can get some new ones and you will be right.. :D

I'm not into silver consoles, but that looks very slick, well done.

yeah it wasnt to bad i didnt break anything getting them out, grab hold of it somehow and pull really hard, thats about it

if ur talking about a whistling noise when ur driving in excess of 80kms then its the foam seals around the open shut device in all your vents. mine are gone, i noticed it when i turned the aircon on to level 4 one day and all this foam **** blew me in the face.

nah, its not whistling.... its really annoying squeeking, at first i thought it was my glove box, so i got my mate to drive around the block a few times while i listened for it, finally narrowed it down to the actual vent itself, or the spinny wheel underneath the vent

that is so awesome but the neons set it off that little bit extra. Absolutly fantastc job im doin this to my car when i get one that kicks ass and for around $70 man thats cheap
