I know there are a couple of other threads about O2 sensors but I thought I would post this anyway.

Have a KR Verada, 230000k's, recently replaced intake manifold gasket. Car still isnt running good. Hesitation with acceleration when warm and bad fuel consumption.

Today I looked for the O2 sensor but could not get to it. Car too low and do not have ramps, and cant jack it up enough. I went searching for the connection point at the ECU. The Haynes manual wiring diagram listed this as a white connection. There are two going to the ECU, the first being from the detonation sensor the second from the O2 sensor.

I backprobed the first one and got a voltage reading that danced back and forth from .2 volts to .8 volts. I guessed this was the detonation sensor wire and backprobed the other connection instead. The second one (with car idling) had a reading of 0.035 volts. This reading shifted a little when revving the engine a little. According to the Haynes manual I have the O2 sensor should be 0 volts when below approx 300 degress and then should be between 0.1 and 0.8 volts depending on fuel mixture.

I wondered whether maybe it was sitting low as the engine was not that hot. I took it for a drive and made sure I definately had the engine going (as much as possible with the hesitation anyway). The maximum the reading went to was .085 volts (at full acceleration).

I have attached a couple of pictures. The first shows the backprobed connection (a little blurry). The wire I probed is the 4th connection on the top looking from the firewall along.
The second is the multimeter reading.

So I am pretty sure that my 02 sensor is toast. What readings have you other people acheived with your faulty O2 sensors?

Cheers
