In case anyone's interested- gearbox in limp mode-see prevous thread re gearbox mystery

Apparently there is an ecu left hand front interior for engine and gearbox, and one under the center consoloe which just controls the gearbox (before the engine & g/box one). This centre one was faulty. Typical- difficult electrical fault to find, but once found, was simple.
