What is the A/T Auto button on my 91' TR Magna for ? I press it but don't see any difference on the dash etc. Curious...

You should see a PWR light come on down the bottom of the dials. All it does when on is make your car rev higher and hold higher revs longer.

That's what I was thinking. However no light comes on. Looks like i'll take a look at the globe behind the dash.
Thanks mate.

I'm not sure if the carby model had this, but you will find it next to your gear stick, it will say something mode (a/t i think). Just push it in and you will see a pwr light on your dash light up.

yeah i think its the globe, my D light has been buggered since we got the car, and then my O/D OFF light went on the brinks wen i pulled my dash apart to fit my woodgrain.. really crap for me with my O/D OFF 1, i dunno if its on or off unless i press it lol
im just too afraid on pulling the dials out and stuffing things up, thats the main reason y i havnt pulled my dials out
to get the dial cluster out is 7 bolts.....
if u look above the speedos there's like a plastic shroud that goes right around the cluster....3 screws in it, take that off, this will reveal 4 screws that hold the cluster in, take them out. THen just pull the whole cluster out.
Then on the back of the cluster you have little plugs, twist them to undo them and your globes are right there... easy as
installation is the reverse of removal.

The "O/D Off" button disables your transmission's highest gear. Usually you'd want to do this when you notice the transmission shifting too often between O/D and the next lower gear. That happens in very hilly areas, or when the car is heavily loaded. The same types of situations where you would never use 5th gear on a manual transmission. Proper use of it will extend the transmission's lifespan and avoid excessive wear.
