hi all.

I recently tried to change the battery in my remote but i accidently snapped of the black plastic ' + ' clip that was holding the battery. I then used a bit of paper to hold the battery down (if u get what i mean) and closed the whole thing up. It worked for a week and now its not working. I had the battery checked out and its fine, i tried reprogramming the thing (as in the owners manual) which resulted in no lights flashing or anything whatsoever.

I don't see any other damage to the chip board in the remote.

Secondly, whenever i accelerate from a complete stop (loud pedal fully down) my car seems to have a sudden 'slow down effect' (same feeling when you brake hard, your body goes forward. Something like when you are running and u miss a step) when it changes from 1st to 2nd gear. But it shifts fine from 2nd to 3rd and etc.

My car is a 2001 TJ Advance Auto. in the past i've put in injector cleaners and octane boosters.

I hope you guys can help.
Cheers

My keyless remote is stuffed too - it became really flaky so I replaced the battery, didn't break anything like that, but now it only works 1/10th of the time - and I've reprogrammed it heaps of times. I think I'm going to have to buy a new one off Mitsu.

I rechecked the part where i broke the plastic bit off, and it doesn't seem to have anything to do with the connection of the battery to the board other than to hold it in place. (i thought a small folded piece of paper would have done the trick).

Do i order a new set from any local dealership? How much would a new set cost?
