i just found out of me g/fs dad that the thermal thing for radiator is buggered and well need 2 replace it second hand or brand new cause the idiots i bought da car off wired up the radiotor fan 2 stay on alll da time well i am lucky me g/f dad found it when he did cause i could of been in serious trouble but ahh well
oh yeah does any one know were in nsw 2 get cheap 95 V6 Ts magna parts from any help would be gratefuly appreciated

If you mean the thermostat - you get them anywhere generic - Autobarn or Repco etc. Probably $10. There's also a mass of TR/TS bits on Ebay at the moment - search for 'Magna'.

i think they are around $130 ish as a genuine part if you wanted to go that way.
dont forget to add the cost of replacement radiator fluid.
anything else you need to do while the cooling system is empty?
flush, thermostat, thermostat gasket?

you shouldn't have to empty the radiator completely, just let about 3-4 litres out from the bottom hose, this will empty the coolant from the thermostat, you will also need a new gasket for when you pull it off, not being harsh but it shouldn't of been hard to tell your fans were on fulltime, now you know :cool:

I think Braddles might be talking about the temp sensing switch for the fan that is in the bottom of the radiator...... They might be the same as a 4cyl one and dirt cheap second hand(check with a mitsu spares dept if they are the same, get the new price too)
Good idea to test or replace the fan relay while your fixing this curcuit(test by swapping with horn relay)

replacing that temp switch will mean you have to drain the radiator coolant into a clean bucket via the drain bung on the LHS of the radiator if you want to reuse the coolant. Or buy fresh coolant

when the radiator fan is working correctly it will cycle on and off with the A/C when A/C is switched on and the fan will come on via the radiator switch anytime the coolant goes just over normal opperating temp and the ignition is on.
