just wondering if any knows if the indicator in tp magnas were built to turn off after u round the corner or is mine just broken, cause in QLD its not roadwothy unless it auto swiches it self off.
so if there built like this any suggestion for another model to use?

they are meant to auto turn off. but its just the fact the cars are old, even mine doesnt turn off all the times. i find that the position of the steering wheel will contribute.
so think like a clock face, unless the steering wheel resets to 12:00 everytime, like if its 12:01 or 11:59 then sometimes it wont click.
that can be due to road angle, out of align tyres, etc.
if ure does sometimes work, then fear not, its just a comon glitch. happens in all older cars.

ty just wanted to know , ill pull it apart and see if i can get it working ,otherwise they wont let me rego it. cheers
i can guarentee you it's broken...
if you got a SE or elite - the ones with that whole smear hanging off the steering coloum for the airconditioning controls... it's common for that to break/not work properly... my highbeams were stuck on so i ended up taking mine apart - and found many other things to be broken...
i went to wreckers, got the different bits - and now works a treat - turns off when i go around corners, highbeams working, etc
it to get that whole thing off - you take the top and bottom covers off, then unplug it all (like about 4-5 plugs), then take the steering wheel off (17mm socket and big wrech/rachet will do wonders - also some persuation from a rubber mallet will get it off) then you take the 4 screws out, and the whole thing comes off - so you can take it apart...
i dunno what the deal is for a GLX with the normal stalk indicators... i just know that the SE/elite are a pain cos i got one and had to take it apart lol
EDIT: when before you take off your steering wheel... make sure your wheels are straight - so you can easily put the steering wheel back on and less chance of it not centred (being off a tooth or two)...
