I looked at the S/C but it says good for the 2L and 3L V6's - so i checked out Mukini directly and couldn't find any word of them - so i dunno - if I had the 3L i would surely get it just to try it at least!!
The chip - isn't actually a chip - just a resistor - and it says teh air is cold - this means false info is going to your ECU - making your car run rich - I personally would keep away from it!!

Re: The chip.
When I was doing research for the OBD II interface for a car->computer interface I read alot about guys doing this kind of thing to their ECU. (Lots of people doing this with turbos)
The basic priciple is you modify the sensor signals coming into the ECU (usually just with a resistor) so that it reads things incorectly. The ECU will then try and compensate for the "problem".
You'd be running the engine in a way it was never designed to be run for long periods.. maybe it'll be OK, maybe it won't.

There were many questions and answeres on the old MMOG forums about these things.
When say a Uni Chip is installed it is tuned to the car for all rev and load ranges, usually on a dyno. You can not do this with a resistor.

as has been said, i wouldnt touch the resistor...
BUT.. the supercharger is worth a go!!! its a clutch driven one too, you could do MAD MAX style button to turn it on!!
hehe, rewire the aircon button so that when the A/C off the supercharger is on... :D then take someone for a drive and flatten it with the A/C on, then go again with it off!! you could pull all sorts of one-liners!!! and also have a decent excuse if (dare i say it) get beaten at the lights!
"damn, i left the A/C on!!, i'll just turn if off, (presses A/C button), Ok lets go punk!!"
oh the possibilities!

If you set it to the Aircon - couldnt you set it to any other switch that you may install?? heeh - like a normal switch hidden somewhere - be like a nos button - hit the button and boom!! haha - maybe i need one of these??
So you are saying that with a clutch driven S/C - it doesn't have to be in use all the time??
You can turn it on and off??
Cos I didn't like the idea of cruising on freeways witht eh S/C whining -but if i am making sense of what you say - then you woulnd't need it on??
Maybe I need a S/C for my TH!!

yep thats the idea! the S/C that dave was doing at RPW wasnt a clutch driven type, but this one is and yes you can hook it to any switch you like!!! as i said, fun fun!!

I wouldn't get this one as it is made for the 2L and 3L engines - not sure if it would be too crash hot on the 3.5L - but I will be looking for clutch driven S/C's now!!
Woohoo

Get a supercharger for sure if you can.
A good one is the Toyota Agzze...its something like that.
Its for a 2 litre toyata but fits onto the magna.
You'll get about an extra 30 - 40 kilowats at the wheels.
It'd be definitely worth it.
I was gonna get one on mine except insurance skyrocketed so I left it alone. :(

do u mean the Toyota SC12 supercharger off the 4A-GZE.
The engine is a 1.6L pulling 145hp@6400 with .56bar (8psi).
or do u mean the 3S-GE. i know they make/made a turbo version of this but not a s/c'd. its a 2L.
the 4A-G series engines were used in older corolla sprinters and the like. the 3s-g series were used in mr2 and things like that.
