hey all, my dual fuel carbi magna is BACKFIRING IN THE EXHAUST MANIFOLD....
is it dangerous??? should i still drive it?
it happens if the engine is warm and i open the throttle to just before the
ECO light comes on
im not too sure if its a timing prob, or the distributor is stuffed, or lots of little frayed bits on
the vacuume lines or what...

also it idles really rough and the tacho needle sits aroun 800rpm and "bounces" up and down every 5-7 seconds

this all happens on LPG, so when its on unleaded it pretty much craps itself and cuts out or wont rev above 1500rpm

fuel consumption is real bad too, about $30 (of LPG at $0.59\lt)gets me 100km

any help would be great cos i really like this car... mabey i should just get it serviced/tune up....

Take it to an LPG specialist immediately. Get them to fix it.

This is serious. Don't F*ck with it. I put out a fire in a carby-fed LPG F100 parked in a supermarket carpark last summer with nuthin but a CO2 extinguisher....

yeah id second that - dont stuff around with it. LPG is quite dangerous and one thing you dont need is no car to fix when she goes boom....
