Pinched this pic from one of Asylums posts, but i was wondering if anyone has any opinions of their in-console dvd players

cause basically, im worried that it will be down too low, and be a pain in the ass to keep looking down at... im not worried about secuirty of the unit, so doesnt matter how visiable the in-console v. foldaway screens... but any other opinions of people who have done it like this?? just dont want to do it, and go.. aah thats shat.

Well, watching tv while driving is dangerous anyway, and having a tv in the front that even works while the car is moving is illegal.

Its only illegal if they catch u with it on while moving...
and the fact that its low they probably wouldnt see it. i recon it looks hot.

afaik it must be wired so it doesn't work at all - wired to the handbrake or whatever.

hehehe two things, those particular Eclipse units are renowned for low RCA output voltage, that and being touch screen you'll have it covered in finger prints in no time which can make viewing difficult!

Don't get me wrong I love Eclipse gear, that's all I have in my car but it's the very reason I turned away from getting that particular headunit after seeing one in action in a mates skyline.

oooh guys.. dont get me wrong.. that pic was just an illustration of a possile place to put a screen (built into console). And i wanted to know the difference between an inbuilt unit and a unit that can be ejected from with a headunit.

like i worry that it will be too low, bad viewing angles etc, but its convinently snug against the console - and looks pretty good :D. In comparison with a ejection screen from a headunit. which while may improve visability, doesnt look all the best...
