View Full Version : warranty service issue
hi guys ,im new ,this is my first post ,just wondering do you have to have your magna serviced at mitsubishi to keep warranty up or just a licensed mechanic,im located in the lower blue mountains so penrith mitsubishi is my closest dealer and have found they charge and arm and a leg to service my car , which basically comes down to and oil change and a filter, some of the independent shops around the area give a full service for the same price if not cheaper,my car is a series 2 tj executive 2/03 model black

If you dont care about keeping your log books up to date on regular oil and filter changes, then do it yourself.
If you do, goto any Ultratune or similar place. It doesnt void your warranty.

Most new car warranty can be completed by any mechanic. Just ask them first if they are qualified to do it.
If you should have a warranty issue and you've done the servicing yourself then you do run the risk of the dealer saying that you have done something wrong and contributed to the issue, therefore voiding your warranty.
Some mechanics (other then mitsu dealers) do a half assed job as well at times I have found.
At the end of the day you know that good servicing extends the life of your car. Who do you trust it to?
I pay the extra, and Mitsu service my TJ.

I can't believe you just recommended going to Ultratune.
