Hey all
I can't get the gauges out of my tr gauge cluster because the speedo gauge reset button sticks through the plastic...how do you get em out? i dont wanna pull it too hard and risk snapping it!

Hmm..I haven't pulled the guages out before. I've taken the cluster out, but not the guages themselves. See if on the back you can unscrew it and take the back off and possibly detach the button?
When we did MAGNA's Dash we painted the bits around the instruments silver - we had to cut the knob off the end of the reset tripometer thing to get it apart..
Im not sure if they did that on purpose to stop people from fiddling with it but we couldnt find any other way around it..

Yeah it's simple to get out without getting the steering wheel off.
You remove the black surround in front of the cluster (two screws in the top of it)
Use a flat knife or screwdriver to pry up the bottom of the cluster, and then something to pry down the top of it, and carefully pull it out, it's tricky but it can be done.
Then you remove the 3 screws on either side of the cluster and pull it directly forward. Once you've done this, then you have to pull the left side out first and pull it out to the left, try to make sure that the highest point of the cluster is in line with the highest point of the dash, it'll just slide straight out.

hmm i didnt have much trouble with mine... undo the screws in the top of the black surround, then it slides out. Then undo the screws in the cluster and roll it out (the top forward) and it should just come out... without needing to cut anything.

Why cut the knob off the reset?????? if you do not know how read a manual.
Instead of destroying a dash panel, all you need to do is give the knob a sharp pull and it will come out of the speedo head complete with it's shaft. To replace it simply align it and give a good but gently push.
