Hey all,

I have a few questions regarding my TR magna. The shockers at the back are duft, as they need replacing. What is a good value 4 money option for a TR magna ? I don't want to go over the top. Also would it be worth changing all 4 as it is a 91" TR Magna. The roadworthy nly stated the rear two needed changing but interested in if it is worth to change all of them. Also what shock absorbers should I be looking at purchasing for my TR ? Is it advisable to go aftermarket like Munro and rough costs etc ?

Regards,

Joel

KYB's mate. Best bang for buck shocks you can get. And I'd replace all 4

i just had front and rear shocks replaced in my ts 95, cost me 700 all up. big difference when cornering, a lot stable and when braking, no more nose diving and feels like better grip on the brakes.

Ive got KYBs in my TS, and it is great. I replaced the rears myself, gonna get my mechanic to do the fronts. I havent noticed that much of a difference as of yet, but I havent really driven the car yet

You'll notice it when the fronts are done

the lowest priced reasonable replacement shocks for magna are actually the genuine ones. Monroe GT gas are about the same price.
from memory, rear shocks are between $80 and $90 each Fronts are between $120 and $140 each.

KYB would probably be better quality, KB what are they worth????

I can't remember. I got them cheaper because my mates dad owns a suspension joint. But I do know that he said they're his highest seller, simply because they're the best value for money.

I'll see if I can dig up my receipt, he either gave me a cheap price on the shocks or he didnt charge labour, he does either one, usually doesnt charge me labour, so I'll check for you.

My mechanic told me that Monroe GT are as good as KYB unless your lowering the car, then the kyb's are better.
