hey guys, ive got a tp magna and in replacing the pads front and rear. i thought i was pretty good at the mech part of cars cause ive got an old xy falcon and ive changed the pads many times.but heres my prob, i removed the old pads and put in the new ferodo pads but i cant get them back on the disc gap between the pads isnt big enough for the disk. i couldnt seem to get the brake clyd back far enough for a good enough gap to fit over the disc. i thought the clyd might be ceased so i got my girl to slightly squeeze the pedal and its not ceased . so im wondering if theres a trick to get it pushed back in all the way to give me clearence to get it back on the disc. so anyone out there please help. first time ive owned a magna.

Because the Magna uses a sliding caliper type arrangement you will have to use a bit of force to push the piston/s back in.
A small wrecking bar, between the disc and the moving half will do it.

what do u mean by a wrecking bar? are u talking about a crow bar?
You can buy a tool at repco and supacheap that compresses the piston back to the original position. They're about $15.00...

I just changed the front pads on my tr and have always found the easiest way to push the piston back in is by using a g clamp before you put the pads in. I hope this is some help.

Be careful the rear pistons screw in, don't try to press them in,this is because of the handbrake operation.
