Its being done right now...
4 x Pedders sport ryda springs and 1 x Pedders strut brace (tower bar) to the cost of $845 all up, installed.
I know most of you guys have given Pedders a bad wrap, and i too have read the web site.
Im about to go pick up the VRX so i will post again and let you know how it goes. My mate has KINGS in his VRX so we are going to meet up tomorrow morning and swap cars for a comparison.
I know this is od, but i am insured through GIO, first time with that company, but they have been good with all the mods so far, as long as it is RTA approved.
Cheers,
VRXing

Good stuff - I am sure you will feel a huge difference with it lowered and stru bar - my car is a whole new car after doing those mods and it was worth every cent (though not as pricey as yours) let us know how you go!!

Righto...
It was done...I swiped the VISA card and off i went. I took her for a run on a nice ascent up Kariong Hill, then down Debenham Road (on the central coast), i did the same run before the mods, and found that i could go about 20kph faster around corners than i could b4.
For example, on a reconmended 45pkh corner, i was doing about 80 kph.
So far i am very impressed with the pedders gear...all i need now is a sway bar, i have noticed less, almost nil wheel spin from standing start with good tyres on dry bitumen. I will see how it compares next to the my mates VRX with KINGS in the morning.
Cheers,

Sway bar will help in reducing even more body roll and then the next thing you can do if you are truly serious is get ride adjustable shocks - Koni do some of these - and then stiffen the ride even more - but this starts getting a little uncomfortable aftr a while - so you buy adjustable so you can make the ride softer again after you are sick of the stiffness
Koni or Bilstein - I would like Tein - but they cost an arm, a leg, and then a testicle!!

The sway bars will make a massive difference again, I used Whiteline sway bars and the rating is around 47% stiffer than standard. I also used Camber, Caster and Antilift kits on the front and are about to put the caster kit on the back. This makes a big difference also, well worth it.

With sway bars, I presume Magna's have front sway bars and if you swap for a thicker bar, you'll see an improvement, correct? Do they have rear ones?

My TH Sports Has/Hada rear sway bar...
Unfortunatly in the accident the rear crossmember was damaged and I had to get a non sports one... without a sway bar :(

The Sports/VRX have a rear swaybar, whiteline do a replacement bar for these but also do a custom rear for those cars that don't have a standard rear bar. The standard front bar is a 22mm, whiteline's is 24mm and the rear bar if you have one is 18mm, whitelines is 20mm, this gives around 47% stiffer rating, keeps the car way flatter in a corner, the flatter it is the more tyre on the road. They are worth every cent and are around the $150 each. If you think doing Suspension and springs made a difference this makes about the same again

My mate is doing his rear sway bar this week, he got the whole thing for $199 trade price, i think he said it was about $269 retail, its a whiteline.
So out of doing the front or rear swaybar, my thought would be the rear would be more beneficial because the front has the strut brace, and the rear feels pretty loose
Is there any beefit in getting an adjustable sway as apposed to a non?
My money i had saved for rego went on the pedders gear...so it might have to wait a bit! :-)
Thanks for your replys

Hey funky_fresian_cows,
Did you find the ALK and castor kit made much difference?

No not really a strut brace is completely different than a sway bar. A strut brace only is there to stop the towers flexing a sway bar is there to stop roll. A major difference. Both bars make a huge difference

Um depends on what you call a difference. They make no difference in handling but much more in feel of turn in. The ALK works very well but they do have one problem, nose dive under heavy braking. but heck the take off is much flatter with the kit. I used tha camber kit to keep the neg degree I wanted and the caster to get more feel through the steering, They all do there job well, but just a good set of sway bars shocks and springs would probably be what most would notice the most.

I'm looking at getting Pedders for my Verada. How much in millimeters was your car lowered with Pedders Suspension.

Hey Tbutcher, were the repairs done under insurance, if so you should have hd the repairs to restore the car to the condition it was in before the accident. If the insurance company refused you should have taken them to the insurance review board

I know most of you guys have given Pedders a bad wrap, and i too have read the web site.
When I gave Pedders a bad rap, I never referred to that web site. I was actually referring to conversations had with the owner of Hi-Tech Brake and Clutch (and suspension) in Windsor.
The website is way biased and I dont believe everything that's said on there...but I saw for myself 3 cars that he [owner of hi tech] was working on fixing problems from pedders stuff. So that has made me not want them...I can only talk from experience that's all.
