i have a headunit out of a stock KE verada, going to install it in a mates car, i plug in the power and acc power, adn i cant get backlights, anyideas?

there is probably another 'illumination' wire, because you were able to adjust the brightness of the backlights with the dimmer, so i assume there is another 'illumination' wire somehwere you will need to connect also.

yep u need the illumination wire. Will only light up when the parkers/lights are on.

sweet thanks, know what one it is, and if its ment to get 12 volts or what?

umm there isnt one wtf, there is 2 power attena leads ( i know this as the turn on . off with the button saying atenna, even though they are inverted, and 2 constant 12 volt leads

found this wire, if i short it to earth it gives lights, yet if givin 12 volts then lights go off, how can i use this kinda switching with a normal car
