is there any difference performance wise with plugs? or is it just pure longevity?
I remeber reading that copper is the best conductor, so in theroy normal plugs changed often is a better spark, but if ur plugs are hard to get to the iridiums would be the most sensible and cost efficient option i suppose

Not exactly, for longetivity, Platinum type spark plugs still hold the lead.

I will give the Champions a go..
For $20 they cannot be too bad.. Besides, they only have to last 50.000k's

My 2 cents
Champion are great plugs. Never had one go wrong on me. I used the Gold type in a high boost Soarer (20PSI) owned many moons ago. Bang for ya buck.
NGK are a better plug though. What I tended to find is that NGK's lasted longer and felt the same after many more km's than the Champions.
Just don't touch Bosch. If I have one more mate with amiss fire due to aBosch plug being faulty....
