Ok, I have Bought a Autotechnica Silvermax Gear knob, it is Black leather and polished silver ( See attachment)

Now, has anybody cut the Gear stick down lower so that after market Gearknobs don't sit so high ??
If so How did they get the gear knob to stay on ???
I would like the Gear shift to be as firm and as positive as the stock one....

No one have any Idea's ??

Im not sure about ur knob, but i think aftermarket gear knobs dont screw onto the stick. They slide on and then u use an alenkey screw to tighten the knob onto the stick

so u can use an angle griner to cut down ur stick (cutting off the teeth for the screw on knob), then tighten the new knob on.


I dont know if this is the same with urs..
