How many of us who have lowered their suspension have replaced or modified the bump stops on their front suspension.

Yesterday while chasing a knock in the front suspension I found that my bump stops are breaking apart. The passenger side was missing some of its material, which has led me to think  .

If I am still using the OEM bump stops with the lowered suspension, Have I overlooked something.

My suspension has always been a little harsh, In particular the passenger side on certain bumps on a regular road I nominally travel along (I get a thump noise).

I have now trimmed a inch of the end (Basically where it is falling apart) and now the ride over bumps are so much smoother etc.,

Anyone else have anything to add, I checked the SuperPro site and you can purchase shortened universal bumps stops.

are you talking the bumpstops located on the actual strut..under the top plate?

Yep, the things that are at the top of the shock and mostly hidden under the shock dust cover.

yea thought so.. i wouldent bother with new ones unless theyre CHEAP,even then youl prolly have to cut em!... before i got coilovers i had choped my kings considerably and i had the same prob...i got the bump stops and cut roughly 2/3 of them off,put the other 3rd back in and it was WAY better! :D never had any probs there after!
