Ok I may have been crude and completly ruined the chance of ever fitting the stock gear knob ever again but my New Gear knob is fitted..
Well my Old gear knob, while extremely nice to use as far as stock ones go, was getting a tad worn and the numbers were getting dull so I decided a New one would be needed, to go with my Gear shift Bag..
I tried to fit it on while the standard thread was still there but it made the new gear knob sit level with my radio and looked Ghastly.
so out came the hacksaw, Carefully measured approximatly where I wanted the Gear knob to sit and Hackked the old thread off by around an inch and a half in total.
The upside.. Much better feeling when changing gears, while it is not extreme it is still shorter then standard..
Downside I will never be able to return the Old factory Gear knob back the way it was
Tools needed.
New Gear knob
Hacksaw and Hacksaw Blade..
Blu tac to secure new gear knob
Allen key and allen bolts provided..
Measuring tape
And a will to make sure you don't regret it as there is no turning back once you have done it..

I guess i was too late to answer ur question in the other thread!
U should be able to get a replacement stick from the wreckers or something?
i dont know if thats something u can take out and replace without having to replace the whole gear selector....
looks good!
did u tie up the top of the bag with string or somenthing? at least it looks all nice and fresh :)
btw, awesome headunit...lol

The Gear bag has Shoe laces already in it so you can tie it up.. Since I removed the little black ring thing I have had to tie it around bare metal under the gear knob collar..
The face plate on my stereo is removed to focus more on the gear knob, That being Autotechnica's Silvermax in Black leather.. I am soon to get the steering wheel that matches it..

Jason, is it possible for you to change the BMP to JPEG ?? as when I enlarged the photo to have a proper look, it went extremely pixelated ??
Judging from what I can see , yours looks very short, what is it like to change with ???

I'll see what i can do for ya. It's not overly short, everyone who has driven my car likes it. Its a very short positive throw between gears (i made my own custom shifter up) :)

I remove the shoe lace and using a plastic Straw used an " LA handcuff "and threaded it through the place where the shoe string was and zipped it up so it was tight

gear knobs are universal, so it doesn't matter..... unless it's one of those with a lift up knob for reverse, but even that is catered for.
when I have a bit of time after the end of financial I will get a stack of pic together to show you guys the Isotta range.
Cheers.

Yes I can get the Isotta stitch on steering cover. Search my section and you will see a pic of them on Seany's car, and also the range of colour available. They are available for the Magna but not Lancer sorry.
