altho BOOYA isnt ready for the road, we have got some very nice power figures from the Dyno Tuning that took place ALL of saturday morning, afternoon and the tuning is still being done as we speak.

all the figures are AT THE WHEELS:

3000rpm = 116hp

4000rpm = 149.9hp

5500rpm = 181.8hp | Tractive Effort @5500rpm = 901

BEWARE: 6000rpm and 6500RPM have YET TO BE TUNED.. so it is very possible that 190hp+ is achievable :badgrin: :badgrin: :badgrin:

All they do is plug the oobd thing into the port under the driver side thingie and they only need to do that to check engine parammeters and so forth , they probably wouldnt know the cio was even there but as for the hlttech that replaces the whole ecu and that they would notice =P

It's a modification that gives the impression of speed but has no effect on the car whatsoever.

Booya's wing IS actually practical with the speeds he does in the NT.

Anyway, people are forgetting what Rice actually means.

arent T-wings mean for rwd cars as they give the rear wheels more tractions? therefore a ting wing would give you less traction at the front wheels as its lifting the front up......so the twing is only for looks....

I know what rice is man.

That T wing has absolutely NO effect on Booya's car. The car is rated at 240km's h as a standard car. THis means the areodynamics of the car can handle that speed otherwise it would not be rated at that speed. The wing would put more downforce (if its even set up correctly, which i highly doubt) on the rear giving less traction to the front tyres.. Last i knew Magnas were FWD cars?

The scoop on the front does FA for anything but add wind resistance and looks. (which is funny because i believe that scoop if for a Ford kit?)

Booya's car is rice in my eyes, Big ass T-Wing, scoop, half paint job. Their some performance to the car but the body mods hes done add nothing to aerodynamics... Which is what hes basing his arguement as to why hes got them.

Dont get me wrong.. I would love booyas car if it had a full gold paint job and was missing the wing and scoop.

I must say though. It did take some mighty big ones to go with the Haltech, which is something he should be proud of!

The magnas arn't rated to 240kph due to areodynamics, it more that the engines run out of puff at about 246kph.

The aerodynamics on the magna as with any other FAMILY car would not have it's aerodynamics set up optimumly for high speeds. So adding a proper wing as in Booya's case that can be adjusted to suit your needs, can be of benefit to a cars stability at high speeds. :shock:

As for the Unichips, I have 1 in my car and have taken the car to be serviced by Mitsubishi many times, and they have said nothing about it. :D

Everything is relative.. Compared to a guy up here with a CRX, Booya's car is about as far away from being rice as Booya himself is from being a carrot.

There's a CRX in Darwin that is painted bright orange and he has 18" chromies... which is ok.. but that's not all.. the back of the car has a 30cm high strip of metal checker-plate replica across it down where the exhaust sticks out (and the checker-plate is peeling off on one side) and a twin exhaust setup with one pipe poking through each side - only the exhaust pipe on the left isn't actually connected to anything.. its just a short length of pipe suspended under the car to look like a second exhaust. That, my friends, is rice.

One day I'll catch it by the side of the road and take a photo. It rocks.

its not a chip...its a whole new ecu (computer) cost around $1700

nah the scoop wouldnt be for induction purposes but doesnt look to bad i dont think....and i know what looks good 8)

another problem:

In regards to Airconditioner, the Stock ECU use to control the Aircon, so whats happened, is since the Haltech has been installed, there has been no connections for the aircon.

result, the heater works more then birlliantly, but for where i live, i need a aircon :P lol. :lol:

fix: the wires that use to feed the aircon controls to the ECU needed to be rewired, and adding a relay switch, so when i press the aircon button, its feeding power to the compressor.

40minute job :)

just to recap, for all those who might consider a haltech in the future, here are a list of things needed to be done/

- Get new wiring for stock distributor
- re wire aircon with relay

other than that, all is sweeeeet.
i cant wait to get down to SA and show those guys down there what a real magna is. hhaha. im gonna try find a ralliart to drag too :D
