Have a look around some 4X4 info sites. Those guys know about dual battery setups better than most.

Basically you need one battery connected to power your accesories ie your sound system or whaterver when ignition is in acc posi but engine not running. (this is your second battery) your main battery is isolated when ig switch is in acc so it cannot be run flat. when ig switch is turned to on position a relay connects main battery so it can be used to start car. when engine is running both batteries are connected in parrellel so both will be charged.

not to difficult to set up.

you need an isolator so both batteries dont drain each other. Possibly upgrade altenator to handle the extra load of a battery. Or set up the isolator so one battery is charged at a time.
You need to anticipate the extra load on the altenator.

Sealed dry cell, even then I would recommend a custom sealed box for the battery vented to atmosphere.
I got a tiny odyssey 450 cca thinking of going dual battery setup eventually, not for the power, more so i can crank it with the engine off when camping/parties/shows etc.

Need to fuse both ends of the battery as well...

Why u goin for dual battery? Unnecessary for anything under 5000 w rms (well u can get away with a single battery anyway). If you want extended amp hours this will be the shot.

Peace

hmmm no... mines twice the size. like two of them stuck together. And not in the car atm, has been sitting with all the other audio junk for a while. (mate is using it at a carshow as we speak)

But its still 450 cca. Thought it would be the same.

Whats the stock mitsu cca and amp hours?
