hey all. my mate has a TE/TF 3L manual with 205/65/15's on stock mitsu 5 spoke rims. now, i have some 215/60/15's that i want to sell and i said they will fit. he has taken them to the tyre shop to make sure they will fit and the guy there said that the 215's will rub wen the car is turned to full lock.
is this right? i thought the TE/TF's only had trouble with fitting 235's not 215's

Talking 235 19" is totally different to talking 215 15"
The 215 will fit on ok but are way oversized for a standard set of rims, the result will be a baloon effect that can make a stock magna handle even worse if that is actually possable.

nah this is a good mate of mine. he wanted to get them cause they are a decent tyre and they are cheaper than wat i paid for them brand new. i paid $150 each and i was offering both of them for $200.
the Toyo TPG seems like a good tyre. i have a set on my 1st gen and they dont want to let go in the dry at all. my old kumho powermax 769's i had on just spun wen i put the foot down in 1st.
but yeah... i didnt see how a set of 215's could rub so bad if the 205's on there now are perfectly fine. surely a car company (even mitsu) would have a fair bit of leeway with the tyre width etc... especially just the 1 size up.
ohwell, im over it. so now im stuck with the 2 tyres. if anyone wants them, $200 + postage. PM me
