Been looking into a transplant for my old celica(TA22) and thinking that the mitsy v6 would be a mad engine. Learnt to drive in a 3.5 paj, really loved the engine, heaps of torque.

I know the paj is north south so it would be easier for me to do(the celica is rwd) but was wondering what about the 3.0 vs the 3.5. Been looking at the differences abit, but what would be the advantage of the 3.0?

Cheers dudes

Mate you're better off grabbing a GT4 engine (dunno the code), heard they are a drop in for those models, only problem is the oil sump will need to be custom made.

Yeah the 3s-GTE, not really interested in it. You can also put in a 4age and so on, some mad men have also put in 302's and even a 1UZ-FE(4.0 v8). But i was after something a bit different and NA.

Thanks anyway dude

well mate if you want a 24v 3.0 v6 I hapen to have one here we can deal with :)

For those worried about the inlet manifold, it can be turned around 180 deg to have the TB at the front of the motor.

My mates put a MR2 engine into his old school celica with fantastic results - and aprrantly it was a pretty clear cut bolt in. I'll get some info for you if you want

a friend has a 7MGE engine in it, so you could hopefully fit the 7MGTE turbo motor in there!

or the 1GGTE

whilst it's out you may aswell bore the 3.5 out to 3.8 and make it worth while :D
