hey just checking on how to carpet a sub box and my amp box as well properly. I assume you just put glue evenly on the box and attach the carpet to it and iron it. Anything else i should know before i start this?

Contact Glue and a Staple gun with small staples is handy.. Thats how I did mine, then I just painted the Silver Staples Black with a Permanent marker..

ah ha cheater, lol nah that sounds good, i think my old man has a staple gun will see how big the staples are, just gotta wait till i get my glass on wednesday to make sure it fits first before i go carpeting away.

Spray glue always works a treat if yopu have access to it.. :D :D

As for where I got the carpet, from my local car Upholsterer I simply asked for Black sub box carpet and he got it for me.. Cost me a Sh@ load too.. I needed 4 metres of it and it came in a 120cm wide strip at $45 per metre.. ... so some creative carpeting was done.. I was going to mirror the inside of my enclosure... but the carpettiing option helped unwanted resonances so I did not need to use Dacron inside my enclosure...

I got mine at Moto Quip at whitford city (WA) its kinka like a audio/performance/general car stuff store.
i got 4 cubic metres for $20.

Yeah that would be right......a lot of the people down here dont even argue with prices which I myself feel are OUTRAGEOUS...I work at Dick Smith and we sell 2M RCA cable (stock standard generic digitor brand) for $20 bucks...and people buy it! And a standard 1.5M RJ12 - RJ12 Cable is $12.....CRAZY!
