Ooh Ooh Ooh, ive been looking at having a leather interior made since i purchased by baby

I had someone lined up to do the massacre, but i dont think they will have time to do it now :(

Can anyone suggest any good places in SA, and any tips/comments regarding the mod.


Ill probabaly go black with red(not bright red) in usual spots :)

speaking of leather interiors.. is that ultimate auto trims still around... the one was was doing the leather-look seat covers and had them on ebay?? ebay ad isnt listed anymore and they havent replied to an email i sent them.... might give them a call coz i was waiting til i got my tax back to get a set....

thats the ad they had on ebay..... and i rekon a full re-trim would cost over 2k.... oh these arent real leather either, they are leather-look seat covers....

Hey mate, To give you an idea on costs of retrims.

to get your seats trimed in vinal not leather you will be lookin around $500 for the 2 fronts and similar for rear seat. prob add another couple of hundred for leather. Full retrims start at around 4 grand, dependign where you go. This is if you want a quality job though, you can pay less but IMO, with retims better off outlaying the extra dollers and get it done right.

I play soccer with the owner of eastside custom trim(mentioned above), They are in nsw and arnt exactly cheap, but his work is 2nd to none, i wouldnt let any1 else touch my interior. But i very much doubt you would wanna drive up here to get it done.

also just another point, vinals are starting to get very good, the high quality stuff looks and feels just like leather, even to such a point that pros can find it hard to tell differance. So i would also considering lookin into it as it works out about half the price

yeah i wanted the blue/black and they dont have them in stock, they are custom made for the seats but ultimate auto trims is the only distributor/stockist in australia... so they are probably made in china or something... thy told me that they would be about 6-8 weeks to order in.... but im still keen on them as they look awesome and are heaps cheaper than a retrim, and if i sell the car i can take them off and sell them speratley...

I emailed them last week and was quoted $500 for 1 tone and $550 for 2 tone :confused:

They do look pretty good in the photos, but i'm a bit doubtful cos they've been suspended from eBay...maybe they're dodgy :doubt:

why is every1 getting different quotes....

i emailed them and i got
1 tones full set front and back = $385 +GST
2 tones full set front and back = $450 +GST
door trim =$ 70 +GST

WTF!!!! thats crazy, you got quoted $450 for 2 tones and i got quoted $600 for two tones... maybe because you asked for magna and i asked for lancer, but even so, mine should be cheaper becuase there is less seating in lancers, the seats are frikkin smaller... :rant: ill have to give them a ring.... and material for door trims was 100, and your getting 70... :rant: order me some lancer ones for that price and ill fix ya up for them... plus a tip... :bowrofl: lol

oh b/t/w Koma, are they the covers?? i thought at some stage they bought out VR-X's with that trim on the seats, was a limited edition or sumfin??

recaros range from ~$800 to $2000 each seat, depending on style and features. to get rails made up anywhere from $400 to $800 for the pair.
