well the Adelaide option is not for me seeing by the time i get it here it will cost the same.
And i dont understand when you say 2 different ones? Do you mean a set for a TF and a set for a TJ?
I would assume that the $500 is better or else why would there be a difference in price.
Has anyone got any wreckers or people with 2nd hand ones?

OK dude I bought my brand new selector cables from eastside mitsubishi (rip off dealer) for about $280 two years ago...for the cheapest price try Preston mitsubishi as they are the importer from Adelaide then distribute throughout VIC...
best option is to check out www.imlachs.com.au
even if they dont have any manuals wrecking at the moment I have seen many go through there so they should have selector cables lying around, expect to pay around $150 or less...negotiate with these guys and act like u know ur sh*t for the best price and remember $500 for selector cables is CrackHead prices....

yeah the guys at mitsu showed me the diagrams
the 3,5L models come with 2 different style shifters (namely tj i think)
one short cable and one slightly longer, just gotta make sure ya get the right one
and as green said....dont buy it new or pay anything close to $500
theres always a cheap alternative in the car industry (sometimes for the better and sometimes for the worst)
