hey all,
one of the main reasons why i wanted to mod a magna was the awesome beefy chunk meat induction noise of the 3litres the unfortunate thing is that mine doesn't have it, im pretty sure its not the huge ass cannonball because its an induction sound...jowet's (i think its jowet; john isn't it) vrx from qld has the chunkest version of this... i want my induction sound back so does anyone know what the culprit could be??

I was thinking maybe it could be that i have the rpw oversized throttle body as i've never heard another magna with one on but im thinking not...tried the pod with clean injectors but still no good without the pod box, sounded better and went not quite as good as the k&n panel

can anyone help i love that roar,

mate, i'd recon its your cannon

when i put my Magna flow on, i lost almost all Pod noise, and my car didnt seem loud at all, when i take my pod off, i definately hear that my muffler is alot louder...

1 isnt drowning the other out, they are both going quieter when applied together..

i think mine is from having a quiet (stock) exhaust, the extractors give it more of the woop woop boxer engine noise, and then having a 3" pipe straight into the T/B.
what mod did you do that made it disappear?

Make up a custom metal intake pipe, will increase the noise abit i reckon

was basically this way when i bought it....

how did you get the 3" pipe to your t/b jowet?? i'd like something like that but i don't know how to make it; bunnings?? Also how did you extend the mas to get your pod up the front...i'd need a brace too. Garh brain hurts

see attached pic. the rubber bits and aluminium pipe are from http://www.qlddieselspares.com.au/ .... the pod sits in the now empty battery box. 3" rubber tube fitted to the T/B and i used a 3 - 4" rubber adapter to fit to the mas.

to extend the mas, just cut all the wires and extend each with a new wire (just get some insulated electrical wire and crimping kit from supacheap) to however long needed.

(update - some f**ck just tried to tried to break into my back door (while i was writing this) with a screwdriver - the cocky idiot just stood there and told me to get f**cked then walked off - , called the police and apparantly he's hit up about 10 places tonight already..... :doubt: )

jesus, first chance to read this...i couldn't help but get violent with such a cocky ass theif....

i have already got the resonators plugged up...think it might be the muffler but wouldn't mind replacing the factory section of pipe inbetween the mas and throttle body. Did you just squeeze the 4" rubber into an oval to fit the mas??

thanks for the help
