Now that the RPW Phenolics have arrived with a set of Platinum plugs I thought I'd have a go myself at removing the intake Plenum, cleaning it, replacing the gaskets and plugs etc. Found PhilsTH photo guide in the 3rd gen FAQ - looks okay. But the Mitsu manual wants the power steering drained and refilled etc as part of the process. Is that totally necessary?

nope - i don't think the power steering system is even touched when removing the plenum.

I don't recall the power steering being touched when I had my heads removed a few months back.
