hey i have a auto solara tj if i get a auto ralliart engine is it just a straight swap or do i have to fix other things as well

The swap is fairly involved in that it really needs the raliiart computer to get the power output from the engine as it would be in a ralliart - 180Kw. The stock computer may run the engine too lean, or too rich, and it doesn't have a knock sensor either.

If you get the stock computer, you need the BCM (body control Module) and also the auto trans controller talks to the BCM as well, not to mention the immobiliser. Erk.

Better solution would be aftermarket piggyback computer - and quite a bit of dyno time.

Would love to throw a ralliart engine in an AWD - I think in a standard 2 wheel drive without traction control the auto box would have a short but *eventful* :doubt: life.

The standard brakes would be also inadequate - they are barely adequate as it is.

Possibly, mind you our car's are known to run rich so there may be some freeboard?.

Well, if the auto is from an Evo, (this needs to be confirmed), then it should be fine.
