Hey everyone. Just asking for your opinion on what I should get. It will be either the a sound system or lowering my wagon. Its a 1988 TN waon with nothing done to it.
Now with the sound system, I know I have heaps of room in the back but I want some speakers upfront. Do you think I should have some speakers in the front or all of them in the rear. I thought about having them in the rear but then I thought that I wouldn't hear much. Has any one done something like that before? I know the sound system will cost me about $450 for just a head unit+speakers and for everything (head unit, speakers, sub, amp and box mounting) $600+.

For the lowering, I want to lower it as I've seen a few 1st gen's lowered and they look tough! What I'm wondering is, how much will it cost and how far should it be lowered?

If anyone could offer some advice that would be great.
Cheers,
Tiges

Forget about the rears... You sit up front, ur ears face the front and cd's only play in stereo not surround sound.

Invest in good fronts...

yer hes right theres no point in spending heaps on the rear cos u hardly hear them

as for the suspension...
cost wise you can get king springs for around $250 speak to our sponser (Phillcom Rally) i payed a little more for whiteline as there known to be better, then expect to pay up to $250 to get them installed shop around when gettin them installed as some people do it alot cheaper then others,
as for how low im not sure of any spring companys that do super lows for gen1s only lows which lower the car 15-35mm lower unless you get them custom made, how ever i found this wasnt enough on the front so soon ill be taking the fronts out and getting them reset 1" lower

hope that helps

Having the same issue as you i am choosing to go with stereo first.... My way of thinking is you can corneer all you like but what happens if its rainging, you dont feel like it etc. etc. - lets face it loud music is always good! And good luck at putting something in the front - i have no idea how big they are but i reckon about 3 inches possibly 4. and as for rear dont go to crazy but somethign would help im sure
