OK, now thats something i have not heard of, Does your Alpine deck have a security code ??
Disconnect and re connect the Battery and see if it still does it ???
What Model is it ?? is it a TV/CD or just a Plain CD player ??

Have you got it hooked up to a phone kit?
Check the mute wire.
I think its the audio interrupt that mutes ur stereo when a call comes through. What did you hook this wire up to?
Peace

So it is a CD?
Have you tried pushing the menu button ??? do you get any sound at all.. I belive there is a setting in the menu some where to turn the Interrupt off ???
I believe there is also a Pink wire called interrupt in your Alpines wiring Diagram.. Check it out ..

Are you sure the interrupt wire hasn't moved internally and is earthing out ?

Dunno if im pointing out the obvious here.. but all the issues ive had with my alpine deck were solved by resetting the unit.. theres a little button on the unit when the face is off.. try that?

if the Problem still exist.. Insert Sledgehammer Here ! :bowrofl:
I(f it is still giving you the  then I would suggest a quick trip to where you got it from or at the very least pop into your nearest Alpine stockist and show them the problem, Alpine have a great technical team, you could try emailing them??
