Hi everyone!
Im pretty much new to the modifying of cars thing. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions as to what might be the most worthwhile mods to do would be. I figered that
car companies spend plenty on research to get the best configuration, so im really
not sure what would be a waste of time or not. Right now, just totally confused and clueless.
Can you tell im new?
Cheers people.

didnt guess your new bud... you told me :D
go the usual exhaust, extractors, piggy back ecu, pod or cai, etc
its all easy, they are the cheapest things (sept the 'puter) and you get the best gains, after those its big$$ time :D

What sort of mods do you want to do?
How do you drive your car? Normal or hard?
The first thing people usually look at is suspension then braking. Totally depends on what you want to do then we can give you some more advice.
Good luck with the car anyway. Always good to see someone modifying a magna.

you have a good starting base with a ralliart. What colour is it champ? i take it its 100% stock?
firstly i would be removing teh gay ralliart rear wing (bring it on lord seafood :P) and replacing with a normal VRX wing. I would be going some 18's or even 19's if you an afford the stretch. I would lower it with either some king springs and koni shocks, or if i had the money some of those coilovers phillicom rally sells.. they are just the ants pants. I would be going full exhaust, extractors, high flow cat, the whole lot. CAI (cold air induction), unichip ECU upgrade, nice stereo and leather interior if you dont already have it.. hello awesome car :D

Thanx for reply guys.
I didnt know whether mitsubishi would have gone to the lengths
to get the most perfomance out of the engine and stuff. So just
wasn't sure what else would give it more power.
My ralli is silver. Probably the most popular colour, but its missing the extra piece under
the front wing and no sunroof :doubt: But im happy with it. And yeah, it is 100% stock. I wasnt really sure about the spoiler
Im gonna put some 18" AMG Quake rims on it for $1800 (with tyres)
BTW: for an estimate, how much would anyone say that extractors, and an exhaust system
would set back?
Thanx people.

They have and they haven't.. it's got a good mix of power, economy, emissions, and longevity built into it :D There's a guy on here by the name of Jason Semmler who worked with the guys on the Ralliart prototypes who might drop by and add some detail about this :D
But basically, there's a lot you can do with these babies. A stock Ralliart is officially rated as being capable of a 14.7s qtr mile pass. TZABOY's modified Ralliart is currently running barely a bee's penis over 14s flat. Dat's pretty good!
Extractor wise - RPW or Pacemaker. RPW's are quite a bit more expensive but have certain design benefits over the Pacemakers. Depending on where you are you can organise Pacemakers fitted for $450-$700. RPW items will cost you $660 + fitting.
As for the rest of the exhaust.. from the cat-back budget $600 and you'll probably get change. A high-flow cat comes in around $300-400 on top of that.
A chip tuned will set you back $1200-$1500 depending on what you get.
RPW are now selling a fairly cool modified intake manifold that you can read about here (http://www.aussiemagna.com/forums/showthread.php?t=20284). That'll cost you $1100 + fitting.
Do all of this and you'll probably knock a whole second off your 400m time. Or pick and choose over time. Any of these mods on their own will give you a bit of extra go but all together they'll really come into their own.

Is the chip worth it on it's own and from a stock ralliart what would this give you
