Hey guys a friend of my parents 2001 magna went in for its 100,000km service of the timing belt and the other things that needed to be done at the time.

But now after they got the car back its been acting up a bit, it now starts to get a weird noise coming from the engine bay when either D or R is selected but it dosent make the sound in N or P. I think they said that it might have been coming from the enigne but im not sure.

They went back to the place that did the service and apparently they now need to replace the engine computer, i dont know wether its the ECU or the computer for the Auto box.

Has anyone had a similar problem to this or does anyone have any ideas why this might be happening.

What sort of noise? Like a groaning noise?

I think it may be but im not sure exactly why have you experienced a similar thing.
