Hi Guys,
Just got myself a 3.0l V6 98 TF Magna.....(never going back now!) and the one thing I want to change straight up is my shifter knob. Its an auto and I need to know:

1: What kind (if any) of shifter replacement will fit it? eg. any of the ones on http://www.burgdesign.com.au? or from anywhere else?

2: How do I take the shifter off without marking anything?

Sry if these questions have been asked previously, but I couldn't manage to find any existing threads with the search feature.

BTW, GREAT to find a thriving magna community out there.....I think you'll see me here quite a bit from now on :D

EDIT: Would these one's fit? http://www.autospeed.com/shop/category_1902/browse.html

you would have to ask the makers of the knob as to if they were made...it has to be a top loaded button (of course) that fits over the shaft.

to take the stock knob off you will find a screw on the side of the knob facing toward the dash. unscrew that and take the button off gently and it will come right off

HEHE, I know....$250 is a bit rich...but I can't seem to find any other decent ones on the net. If anyone knows any online stores that stock a wider range of auto shifters though....feel free to pass along some linkage :)

BTW, thanks for the advice 4PLEAZN, wonder how long it will take me to actually get a response from MOMO though

My shifter... (Leather Sports one) to remove it you have to gently pull the button of the top!
Use two small screwdrivers and becareful no to scratch the plastic.
once the top is off there is a nut that has to be undone to slide the rest up and off.
