Will be doing an audio install in my car.

For now i have nothing at all in it.

Going in for now will be

Sony Xplod CD Head Unit
Sony Xplod 6 Disk Stacker
Rockford Fosgate Amp
Kicker Amp 75.2
Splits in the front
Kenwood 6 x 9 Rear
Sony Xplod Sub

Here are my questions
Should i run the rear parcel shelf 6x9 that i am gonna put in the car off the amp or
Should i run the 6x9 that i am going to put in off the head unit and power the sub via the amp
Forget about the Sub and run the 6x9 off the headunit and no need for a second amp.
Wiring: Should i use the original OEM harness for the wiring (Ground / Earth the cd player) or run all new speaker wiring for the channels.

I know about the remote, ant remote cabling etc also

Install the lot Professionally, that way you wont have to worry about wiring..

I know how to install them very well and have done millions of installs of various sizes using existing wiring but was wondering if there is a benefit from running a system off custom wiring rather than the standard stuff in the car.

Yes have had these items lying around at home but they will go in temporarily and will be getting upgraded soon, when tax comes back

Standard OEM will be sufficient all except for the Head units Earth you will need to find a Better spot..

Can you elaborate on this a little please? I'm using the standard HU earth with amped speakers and haven't had a problem. Am I creating a future one?

If the headunit ground is fine... eg no engine whine, then it is ok. Some have bad earths some have good ones.

Relocating it just involves earthing to the chassis. An easy place is onto the plate that the headunit bolts into.

I would also like to know if you've purchased these yet?

Cos we could give you some advice on buying some better value for money gear.

Otherwise shouldnt be too hard to get everything there up and running.

Peace

Tim

Not only that but if you haven't purchased the items, than it'd make it a lot easier to answer a couple of the questions (in relation the rear speakers).

Edit: You already have the products, my apologies.

All items above are in my possession now from previous cars or from getting good deals on brand new... this is a temp setup and will be replaced when tax return comes back.

For now just need tunes for my car

Could u give us the specs of the amps?

How many channels on each? What rms rating on each?
