Just colour the light bulbs or put a plastic see through coloured sheet between the lightbulb and the console ;)
Otherwise, yeah, i would be interested in the light bulbs as well. But they are very different and have no idea where to get them from.

I would like to know about this too.. Can some one come up with a " How To" and with what type of LED's slot in ??
I have the Blue Slip on covers behind my Speedo and it looks OK but I want to do the LED thing with it..

The only problem in using LED's is the automotive ones dont last very long,
I used them in my n14 pulsar and put them into 2 other cars within 3 months the dam things stopped workn. So i ended up buying the cool blue bulbs and put blue silicon sleeves on them. the blue fades over time as the silicon discolours.
My suggestion would be to buy a DIY led's from jaycar or dick smith get all the capacitors and resistors necessary and make a control box so they get a nice clean power, similar to what the EL gauges have.

I thought it was Australia wide..
It was because Police Vehicles use Blue Lights and would cause confusion..
Last thing you need is to be defected for impersonating a police Vehicle

I gotta check this, might depend on the colors.
I went into my local police station a few months ago and was told that neons are aloud as long as their not red & another color (maybe blue)
That was advice from the Traffic Department.
Not sure if its changed now..

How hard is it to change the globes on in the dash cluster?
Is it possible to change them without taking the whole dash out?

Neons are legall coz when i got pulled over for blue parkers i got told by the officer (who was very nice coz i was acting like dum person who knows nothing bout cars.) that u can have neons and sum types of after market lights as long as u dun play round with ur head lights and tail lights by making them flash. and also no flashing or strobing neons. and if u do have neons other drivers are not meant to see the actual neon coz its to bright and distracts other driver. only the glow should be seen. thats wat i got told.

I was stopped at a booze bust on friday night, and whilst blowing into the bag , another cop came over and insisted I pull over. I had windscreen washers with l.e.d.'s , blue colour.
I dont drink, so that part was fine. But, that traffic cop wrote me a Defective Vehicle ticket (1 point + $75.00) for having acessorary lighting. He claimed that the lights would distract other drivers vision from the road . QLD :noway:

If you actually read the laws/rules that vicroads have set out, it clearly states that ALL excess lighting is illegal. You arn't even suppose to have fog lights on if it's not foggy as this is excess lighting. Not sure if QLD is different or not?
Colour makes no difference, though i think cops have a lower tolerance for non blue/red lights.

most of the cops dont know what the law actually says....they're cops not lawyers...
window washer led's = illegal (&ghey), they can do you for a few things, from impersinating police to that lighting thingy
