hi, a rebuild usally involves piston rings lash adapters, valve stem seals, acid bath block and head, light hone of the bores to remove the lip, replace con rod bearings. replace all gaskets and walsh plugs. i just did mine it cost me 1100bucks but that was with new timeing chain and guides as well .

u will find u will have a lot more go and fule economy if done corectly. before i did mine i was gettin 450 km to a tank of 95 octain fuel, now its bout 600 to 650 kms

WOW 600K's to a tank sounds bloody good for the 1.1K you paidi know we only get between 450 and 500 now so 650 sounds really nice:)....but wouldnt you be able to buy an engine of same specs but alot less "K"s say from a wrtitten off car for a fair bit cheaper??

i find it easyer and alot less trouble to rebuild an engin cuase u know if there is any problems, say for example the block has a crack inbetween the bolt hole and a water journal on say cylinder 3 which has been common on the tr magnas around here.and u now wat brand parts have been put in to it. u could be buyin some one elses problems from a wreak

I wouldnt' be rebuilding. If you've got no issues with it, then keep the regular oil changes, and general maintenance and there's no reason why you can't see another 100,000km
