say for a sales rep type person working in Sydney. Cost not necessarily an issue but max quality is the important thing.

For a salesperson going around town, get a Navman.
For something more precise and durable (ie. for field work etc.) then I'd go Garmin or Magellan.

I got the same, a lovely piece of machinery right there, highly recomended. Got mine for $999 at Newcastle Pro Sound, they are having a sale on too (well on the weekend a sale was on $799) i'd give them a call.
I was pissed of when i saw that price, $200 cheaper after just a couple of months

No don't go to strathfield...come to Dick Smith Electronics...we have them for $888 so HA Loud Gsr lol!..:P ..And buy an extended warranty if you do...its worth the extra money if something does go wrong, otherwise its either a waste of $900 or your up for repair costs....unless you only intend to have it working for one year...in that case dont bother...
Other then that, theres the pocket Pin one which is a combined PDA and GPS system.....quite handy i must say.....they are about $784....

Ahh okay. I found out Navman head office (and presumably sales) is just up the road from me anyway so may as well try them first I guess. Thanks...
