Just want to know if anyone has any thoughts on servicing by Mitsubishi. I have a TF with 128000 k's. Due for timing belt, the rear bank plugs have never been changed either. The oil, filter and air filter are changed regularly though.
Would I be better off going to Mitsubishi for this or maybe someone like Ultratune?
Should I go for just a log book service or maybe a bit extra?

I decided when it came due for my TJ to have it's timing belt done that I should spend the little extra and get Mitsu to do it. Those guys do them day in and day out so you're assured they're not going to miss something since they only do a magna once a month. I get other smaller jobs done at a local mechanic like brakes, power steering belt and installing shocks. But when it comes to the engine major bits I only allow Mitsu to do it.

Thanks for that. That was my intention originally, seeing as it hasn't had a electronic tune for a while also.

An electronic tune? :doubt:
It will be a costly service regardless. Ultratune probably would be cheaper. Just ring up and ask for a price from the two and see what's involved.

What do they usually do in the major 100,000 odd km service? I"m interested to know as my car will be due for it at the end of the year

LOL. I got new tyres about 2 days after that video was taken. I had 1 tyre with 90% tread left on it, so i said "Might as well use of it". Found a secluded spot, and ripped her up.
I dont do burnouts on my new tyres. Thats what i'm going to be purchasing some stockies for. :D

i avoid mitsubishi dealership for everything. I only go there to have warranty work done. They charge you more then everyone else and do less work. Theres even a chance your car wont be worked on by a mechanic, but by one of the dealerships detailers or accessory fitters when the service department is busy!
