Hi all.
Great Forum.
I am having a problem with the Rear Wiper on my TF Wagon. It is making a shocking noise when I turn the key on. dosn't matter what I do with the wiper switch it keeps going. I had to remove the Wiper fuse so that I could drive the car without the din from the wiper motor.
The problem is I can't figure out the best way to take the tail gate apart to get to the wiper motor to fix it.
Has anyone else had this problem and how do I get to it without breaking all of the clips?
Cheers
Matt

there is a digital version of the manual on here somewhere. I have been trying to post the page you need that explains how to remove the trim but i cant as it is encrypted. Do a search and you will find the link to the manual.

im sorry to say mate there is only one way to get at it - you have to remove ALL the plastic trim from the tailgate - starting with the eye-level brake light cover......if you use care and dont pull too hard to quickly, it will all come off fine without breaking clips, I have had mine off three times without problem.....
after you have the brake light cover off, you will need to unscrew the eye level brake light as well... pull at the platic trim going around the top of the tilgate, starting at the top and working you way around - then remove all the clips holding the main trim panel, the handle to pull down on the tailgate to close it, then starting at the top corner of the main trim panel, pull - you will need to use a fair bit of force, but if you gradually pull on it, pulling harder as you go, it will start to pop off when it is ready, then work you way down the side, across the bottom - then go to the other side, and do the same, then go across the top, by the time you have done that, you should only have 1 clip left holding the panel on, which will be near the middle of the tailgate, a little bit of a pull on any corner, and she will just fall off, and re-fitting is of course the reverse of pulling it apart

Remove brake light cover
Remove push in thingies around the perimeter, except the side ones
Start at the bottom and pull it off, sounds aweful but works.
When replacing, start at the top, work your way to the bottom.
