Colgate

After about 6 weeks i finally got all my audio install sorta completed ... had it all tuned since the cruise and it goes heaps harder so i cant wait for the next cruise to see how many Db it's improved by
here's some pics
i'd also like to send out a big thanks to Craig at Xtreme Force here in town for all the time and effort he put into my car and the nights and weekends he gave up to do it
and my girlfriend Jo who put up with me through it all cause i think i was a bit of a knob while this was getting done and i went way over budget doing it ... Thanks Jo :)

In regards to the custom console for the screen in the dash, costs and time involved?
Did the shop make a mould to do it and if so do they still have it.
Very interested..

cost a few bucks for the materials used so not sure on a selling price as it was made as a 1 off item but Craig at Xtreme Force said he would make another if anyone was interested ... time to make was 10 hours + i think
but could find out how much they would sell for

Very nice install, i love it. I's shore lots of people have asked you this. But whats with the two decks (looks cool) but why have you done that. is the alpine a DVD deck or something. also how is it all wired up so that both decks car be used

top deck is a dvd player ... just an alpine look-a-like and bottom deck is a cd player
that way i can still listen to tunes while the people in the back can watch a movie listening through headsets

Ok. So the two screens that you have i your car, just run of the dvd deck. So does that mean that the sound for the dvd only comes out of the headsets, or can you also run it throught the speakers as well

i can run it through the speakers as well from the Aux on the cd player

was talking to the guy that made it last night and the shroud for the screen needs to be moulded into the mould ... so if it's a group buy thing everyone will need to buy the same screen otherwise it'll have to be made for each screen if everyone wants a diff screen
either way i dont think he minds making them

Heh, so buy an aftermarket clip-on Type-S cup holder :P While you drive, the holder will unclip and you'll have hot coffee all over your god damn leg almost causing a serious accident...I'll sue that company for all they're worth one day!

wats happenin wif this, we gettin a group buy peoples?
i love the cup holders...great storage compartments.
I know I've talked to u about this before, but would there be any chance you could make some sort of sliding lid or a lid to cover the screen, so people don't see it when you park your car?
I was thinking a piece of polypropeleneneneene with a handle on it, cut some grooves on each side as guides, so you can slide it up and down when you want....imagine motorized:cool:
