Well if you do it yourself your looking at around 150 :) 75 for Timing belt, rest for fluids and filters, and i think for 100k you need some dosh for platinums.

not that hard to do, pricing as per mathius, just takes time, if your doing it yourself, just allow a full day to do it, and you may need a hand from someone else when doing the cam. As long as you have the tools its easy. Mind you if your looking at getting it done at mitsi or a service shop, you may be looking at around 700 - 800 bucks as its pretty labour intensive :doubt:

paid 600 here.... did some of the servicing myself, engine oil air filter.... left the rest to mitsu to do...
if you can do most of the stuff yourself and let them do the timing belt, that should reduce alot of the costs...

is it nessary to do the idler bearing and cam seals when doing the timing belt..a while back some workshop told me i should :doubt:
cam seals are cheap but the bearing was like a 100 bux or sumfing  :doubt:

For the 90/100k service no it's not necessary, at the 180 it'll be a visual and you taking the risk. Basically it might not but if it does fail you pay two sets of labour, if you do it yourself just look for seeping etc from the seals and if the idler is poor you'll hear it as a rumbly sorta sound.

yeah you are looking at around the $850 for a 90,000km Service with the timing belt. It is quite a Labour Intensive job.

We find alot of them need the Belt Tensioner replaced when we do the belt on them.

My car had its second major service done somewhere between 180-190k, cost like $800 all up. Fortunetly my dad was nice enough to do that service before selling me the car :D
