I need some help :'( my subs are playing up

hmm seems really weird that this happens but when the amp is on pause and no music is going through to the amp for the subs the subs seem to pulsate.... its just a pattern of bass... when i press play on the deck the subs pulsate the same and there is no change in the pattern.... it doesnt seem to play bass from the amp.

Its not the amp i've changed it with a couple and had the same results...

what would it be??

not the head unit, i tested another sub on it and worked fine...

its really strange.. needless to say i have no bass atm :'(

What the hell? Take it to a professional car audio installer (not JB Hifi, or Autobarn as they won't have a clue).

Sounds like a Wiring Problem.. re-do your wiring making sure your Connections are OK.. If not then I would say one of your Subs has gone???

i would say weird connection, even possibly with the RCAs....but then again...idunno.

move ur sub to someone else's system and find out if it still has that problem. check tinsel leads too.

I had this problem when I first got my subs. I'm don't know what caused it though, 'cause the problem went away after a week. Sorry...I know...it's now help to you.

just for some Closure:

i've found out it is the actual preouts on the deck... im putting in a dvd deck after xmas and will get the old one repaired and flog it off :)
