Hey.
Im pulling apart a TJ manual gearbox, and we're having problems getting the input / output shaft out of the housing. The manual says it should just drop out along with the selector forks as a single unit, and we cant see anything holding it in...
Unless - do you need to remove the reverse idler gear before the mechanism comes out? it doesnt look like its holding it in but i guess its a possibility (just looks like the teeth should slide out and leave the reverse idler gear in the case.)
Im trying to avoid using a special tool if you dont need to remove that gear.
