i've noticed driving along at night time that my lights dip every now and again, like bass drawing power, but it's not cause the system is down but it hasn't done it for a while until last night, when i had the ac on to defog the window and every time the compressor kicked in the lights dimmed  . now, i've owned other cars and they never done this just curious if anyone else has noticed this or is my car??

Could it be the battery or the alternator??

i think you will find this happens in most cars, as there will be a voltage drop when the compressor kicks in...
MAYBE it is just more sensitive in the magnas than your previous cars... or
MAYBE you are just more sensitive as you have a new car and anything foreign is noticable...
wait for the first scratch :D

I think i have this problem
ever since i got the car...occasionally, all the lights would just dim, like bass hitting. Even before my system.
dunno what it is. mechanic checked it, said it was fine

I have noticed this problem in my KJ. You can be doing 100kph and it happens.....also happened in my KH so i guess it is just one of those magna/verada'isms' which we all experience.
I must say that i have never noticed it happening to the same extent on other cars.

Yes it happens with ur AC and your stereo.. Thats normal..
If it not these two than its ur thermo fans doing it when they come on.. Its normal. nothing to be alarmed about.. :D

yeah, its probably more noticable in our cars maybe?
an extra chassis ground cable doesn't make a diff either lol
It does it in mine when the thumping bass comes on.
Get a yellow top performance battery if you want to overcome this. Your current one is fine though.

oh if only i had the money for a new battery
but then if i did, i'd re-do my boot install, sd my doors, lower my car, buy another sub amp, upgrade the cabling and buy a house too
yeh, the dimming doesn't annoy me really...ive gotten used to it.
